Dec 04, 2019
Some people take acetaminophen in different forms and combinations without realizing it. Acetaminophen is a common ingredient in many over the counter cold and congestion medicines as well as some prescription narcotics. To avoid liver damage, you need to check the amount of acetaminophen, so it does not exceed 4 grams daily. If you have already liver disease, the amount should not exceed 2 grams daily.

You can take up to 4 grams (8 of the 500 mg tab) of Acetaminophen (Tylenol) daily if you have no liver disease, and only up to 2 grams (4 of the 500 mg tab) if you have liver disease.
